Somebody rang up saying they were from an energy company wanting to chat while nearby. I just said no thanks and ended the call. They've been blowing my phone up every day since, and today was the first time I actually picked up. Calling them a pain is putting it mildly!

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with the Government Energy Scheme doing a follow-up about my loft and cavity wall insulation. He said they’d offer a free survey on my windows and give me some details. I told him it sounded like a double glazing company and that it was likely a scam. He just hung up on me.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent, said her name was Rose and she was from something like Ecology - couldn’t catch it properly because there was loads of background noise like a call centre. She said we’d chatted before Christmas and asked if I remembered her. I told her if we had talked before, I’d have already told her not to call again and then ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Somebody said they worked for 02 but they clearly didn’t. I didn’t even find out who they really were because I just ended the call. They just kept reading stuff from a script and wouldn’t answer any questions properly. When I challenged them, they got all quiet like they had no clue what to say.
