Got a call from a woman with a bit of a foreign accent, saying she's checking on my protection insurance. She was quite pushy and honestly I lost interest so just ended the call. Pretty clear it was dodgy tho, seemed like they were fishing for personal info that could easily be misused by someone shady.

Got a call from some insurance review place, they were trying to get me to upgrade my life insurance. Asked who my provider was, but they said they couldn't tell me because of Data Protection rules. Then I asked which company they worked for, and they said "all of them." I called the woman a bit of a con, and she just hung up on me.

They claimed to be from some Review team that deals with a few insurers like Aviva. Told me they needed to look over my life insurance because it’s apparently something the government suggests. I asked if I could ring them later and they couldn’t provide any callback number. The info they had on me was super old too. Felt like they were just trying to get my details.

Got a call from someone looking for my husband - they had the right last name but completely the wrong first name. We used to get calls like this ages ago, but not for a while now. some bloke called ashley rang me claiming he was from the insurance review team dealing with legal and general, aviva and others - said with all the mergers happening now it would be wise to check my life insurance. when i asked which company he was actually with, he just said insurance review team. i pointed out that’s not a proper company name and he got a bit rude after that. so i just ended the call.

Got a call about reviewing my life insurance, i was like i don't even have one. She just kept saying ‘the review team,’ kept pushing me to say which company. Then out of nowhere, she threw in Legal & General. Ha, nah that’s not right. I wouldn't share any details with that number at all.

Since I don’t know the number, I’m guessing it’s probably some cold caller, dodgy solicitor, or maybe a phishing scam (we had one of those only last week). Got a call claiming to be from Legal & General about my life insurance, mentioning GDPR as well. Told them I don’t have insurance with them, and then they said they also deal with Aviva - which I do have business insurance with. He kept pushing for my age, so I told him it’s none of his concern, that I don’t have or want life insurance, and to stop calling. Then I just hung up. I’m on the TPS too, but it honestly feels like it makes no difference these days.

Got a bloke with a thick Scouse accent claiming he was from some ‘review team’ - no clue what he wanted. When I asked what it was about, he said he’d ring back when I was in a ‘better mood’ - cheeky sod! Blocked him straight away on my BT phone.

Got a call from a Scouse bloke claiming he was from the review team asking about life insurance for my mum. When I asked him how he got our details and told him to delete them, mentioning some new GDPR rules, he got really hostile and called me rude. Spoke to a polite young English guy ringing about life insurance. I mentioned my number's on the TPS. He goes, "why would you sign up for that?" I said, "cos I hate getting these kinda calls messing up my day." Then he says, "well you haven't even heard what I've got to say yet."
