I rang my mum on her call blocker phone, pretending to be someone called "Michael". When she asked me what company I was from, I said "BT Call Blocker" - total rubbish, of course! Scammers often do this to trick older people. Even though I asked if I could speak to Mrs H-, she was suspicious because the Michael she knew was at least 50 years older than me and spoke with a different accent. Luckily, I’ve kept all my mum’s bank details and sensitive info well out of sight. If you've got elderly relatives with a call blocker, don’t think that’s enough to keep scammers away - they’re cleverer than that.
