I was browsing online for a quote on appliance insurance and this bloke called me. He knew my name, but I didn’t share anything else. When he said the price, I just told him it was too expensive and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from PC protect, they actually knew some personal stuff like my password. They were asking if I wanted to keep my plan for all my gadgets going. When I asked when I'd started it, they said 2015, but I don’t recall ever signing up. I said no to continuing it. Bit odd though, cos nothing has ever appeared on my bank statements for this.

Got a call from London, someone saying they were from 'Wise Guys' computer repairs. Seemed to know quite a bit about me, which was a bit creepy. I just told them to buzz off. I'm up in North Scotland, not sure how they had so much info.

About ten minutes ago, this number phoned my son just as he was expecting a call from Currys about fixing his laptop. He nearly ended up sharing his bank info before he rang me on another phone. Total scammers.

Got a call from someone called Sam claiming to be from PC protection. He was asking if I wanted to renew some laptop or tablet careplan that supposedly ran out. I told him I never signed up for any careplan, and then he just dropped the call. Classic scam stuff!

Got a call from some bloke claiming I had a laptop or tablet on a care plan at my place. Told him I didn’t have any, and he just assumed it must be my missus instead - absolutely bonkers. Needless to say, I’ve blocked the number now. These PC Protect people are such a pain!

I received a rather bothersome call from someone who referred to me as Arthur, which is definitely not my name. They rambled on about a supposed £10 internet fee and asked if I was still making payments. When I mentioned that Arthur had relocated and was curious about where to, they seemed baffled and clearly didn't even have a clue what my actual name was. Then, without any further ado, they just hung up. What a scam!

This call felt super rehearsed, like they were trying to either get my info or push some dodgy service. Hopefully, someone looks into it soon and stops this nonsense.

I just got a call from some place claiming to offer PC protection. They asked for my bank details to set up a direct debit, which seemed a bit fishy to me. Definitely felt like a scam!

Got a call from someone called Sam at PC Protect about a plan I supposedly have with them, which I definitely don't. He said he'd look into their system, but honestly, I reckon it might not even be real. Decided to just block the number.

Got a call from this number at around 10:40. A bloke with a British accent claimed to be from PC Connect and mentioned the call was being recorded. He said he was just confirming my internet was running properly. I told him it was all fine on my end. Then he brought up some PC protection plan costing £10.99. I said I'd never heard of it. After that, he mumbled something I couldn’t really hear and then suddenly ended the call.

Got a call from 02030110599, a bloke said he was calling from PC Connect. He started talking about my laptop care plan getting cheaper. I told him I didn’t know what he meant at all. He then said that he couldn’t go on unless I checked my plan and just hung up on me.

I had a strange call from this number where a bloke claimed to be from PC Protect. I couldn't find any business by that exact name, though some sound similar. He suggested we supposedly had a contract with them already and offered to check if our internet was running fine. When he realised I wasn’t interested or convinced, he said he’d ring back and chat with my wife instead. I reckon the whole point was to get me to renew a contract that doesn’t even exist. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a missed call and thought I'd check this site first. Now I can prepare myself for a bit of a long-winded chat and then probably throw in some colourful language and maybe a bit of racist nonsense (if it’s one of those Johnny or Jenny foreigners). Seems like scammers are getting clever, using UK area codes to slip past call blockers - until you end up having to block each number one by one. What a pain!

I've been getting calls from this number for the past three consecutive days. One of them was a sales pitch for washing machine insurance and another was about computer services. The other times, when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the other end. Quite frustrating, really!

Today, I received a rather dubious call from someone named Sam. He was keen to extract a great deal of information from me, which immediately put me on high alert. My instincts kicked in when he casually mentioned that someone could get in touch if I ever faced any issues with my device. He claimed to be associated with Wiseguys remote support, but something didn’t sit right with me. I chose to hang up on the conversation. Not long after, he tried to ring me again, but I promptly ended that call as well.

Got a call from 02030110599, a polite lady with a British accent claiming she was from something like "PC Protect". She started asking me about a broadband deal and a monthly subscription of £10 I supposedly have with them. Claimed to be from 'TC Telecom' or thereabouts, promising to slash my phone charges. However, when I inquired whether they were affiliated with my existing provider, their responses were rather dodgy, hinting at independent billing. Quite suspicious, I must say!

Had a call from a woman but I really couldn’t get what she was talking about. At first, I thought she was asking if I had a pet or something. Took her a couple of tries to make herself clear, then I realised she was actually saying “PC Protect”. Not interested in that one.

I received a phone call inquiring whether my internet was functioning properly. I've had similar experiences as others have mentioned. When I inquired about my internet connection, they seemed confused and asked if I was still shelling out £10 a month. I made it clear that I wasn't, and the representative was quite courteous, extending an apology and suggesting they might have incorrect information on their end.

Today, on the 19th of January 2017, I received a call from a chap with a lovely English accent from this number. He introduced himself as part of the PC Support team and excitedly mentioned some news about a reduction in price-specifically, he said it was going down by £2 to £7.99 starting from the 1st of February. He also went on about some premium and health cover that supposedly wouldn't cost me anything extra. He assured me I'd receive a confirmation letter within 3 to 5 days and provided me with a 'temporary contact number'-03335761999. Throughout the conversation, he made a point of checking that I was following along, which honestly made me feel like I was being recorded, as I found myself echoing his statements. When he requested to confirm my first name, I grew quite uneasy and decided to hang up. He attempted to call back, but I opted not to answer.

The chap on the phone was rather vague about what he wanted, and he mistakenly asked for the wrong account holder, which set off alarm bells for us. Additionally, he was quite curt, which is rather out of character for Sky's customer service representatives. When I sought to clarify why he was calling, he got quite irate and slammed the phone down. What a fantastic display of professionalism, eh?
