Got a call from someone claiming to be from PC protect, they actually knew some personal stuff like my password. They were asking if I wanted to keep my plan for all my gadgets going. When I asked when I'd started it, they said 2015, but I don’t recall ever signing up. I said no to continuing it. Bit odd though, cos nothing has ever appeared on my bank statements for this.

Got a call from London, someone saying they were from 'Wise Guys' computer repairs. Seemed to know quite a bit about me, which was a bit creepy. I just told them to buzz off. I'm up in North Scotland, not sure how they had so much info.

About ten minutes ago, this number phoned my son just as he was expecting a call from Currys about fixing his laptop. He nearly ended up sharing his bank info before he rang me on another phone. Total scammers.

Got a call from someone called Sam claiming to be from PC protection. He was asking if I wanted to renew some laptop or tablet careplan that supposedly ran out. I told him I never signed up for any careplan, and then he just dropped the call. Classic scam stuff!

Got a call from some bloke claiming I had a laptop or tablet on a care plan at my place. Told him I didn’t have any, and he just assumed it must be my missus instead - absolutely bonkers. Needless to say, I’ve blocked the number now. These PC Protect people are such a pain!

Got a call from some bloke who kept calling me Arthur - not my name at all. He kept going on about some £10 internet charge asking if I was still paying it. I said Arthur had actually moved and asked where, but I told him I didn't even know who Arthur was. Then he just hung up. Definitely a scammer.

Got a call from this number at around 10:40. A bloke with a British accent claimed to be from PC Connect and mentioned the call was being recorded. He said he was just confirming my internet was running properly. I told him it was all fine on my end. Then he brought up some PC protection plan costing £10.99. I said I'd never heard of it. After that, he mumbled something I couldn’t really hear and then suddenly ended the call.

I had a strange call from this number where a bloke claimed to be from PC Protect. I couldn't find any business by that exact name, though some sound similar. He suggested we supposedly had a contract with them already and offered to check if our internet was running fine. When he realised I wasn’t interested or convinced, he said he’d ring back and chat with my wife instead. I reckon the whole point was to get me to renew a contract that doesn’t even exist. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a missed call and thought I'd check this site first. Now I can prepare myself for a bit of a long-winded chat and then probably throw in some colourful language and maybe a bit of racist nonsense (if it’s one of those Johnny or Jenny foreigners). Seems like scammers are getting clever, using UK area codes to slip past call blockers - until you end up having to block each number one by one. What a pain!

Got a call from PC connect trying to fool me into thinking I was signed up with them. They asked if my wifi was alright, so I told them it’s nothing to do with them and to do one!

They’ve called me for three days straight. One of the calls was about a washing machine warranty, another about computer help. The other times they just rang and whenever I picked up, there was nothing but silence.

Got a call from someone named Sam earlier, asking for loads of info. I wasn’t having any of it and said no. Felt a bit iffy when he mentioned that someone might ring me in case there was an issue with my device. He claimed he was with Wiseguys Remote Support or something. I just hung up. Then he tried ringing back, but I ended it straight away.

Got a call from 02030110599, a polite lady with a British accent claiming she was from something like "PC Protect". She started asking me about a broadband deal and a monthly subscription of £10 I supposedly have with them. When I said I don’t have any such subscription, she quickly switched gears and tried to offer me a special deal instead. I made it really clear I didn’t want any of it and told her off pretty firmly!

Today, 19/01/17, I received a call from this number. The caller, who introduced himself as Sam, spoke with a clear English accent and sounded quite friendly. He claimed to be from PC Support and mentioned that the price would drop by £2 starting 1st February, bringing it down to £7.99. He added this included premium and health cover at no extra cost. Sam said I'd receive a confirmation letter within 3-5 days and gave me a ‘temporary contact number,’ 03335761999. He kept checking I was following along, and I found myself repeating his words back, which made me think it might be recorded. When he asked me to confirm my first name, I started feeling uneasy and ended the call. He tried calling back, but I didn’t answer.

The caller was pretty vague about why he was ringing and got the name wrong, which immediately made me wary. Plus, he was really curt - definitely not what I expect from Sky’s usual team. When I asked what the call was about, he got really grumpy and just slammed the phone down. Not exactly what I’d call professional behaviour!
