Got loads of these annoying robocalls from different numbers, including this one - and get this, it was 8 in the morning on a Monday! Each time it’s the same automated message claiming to be some kind of Local Energy Advisor but with different fake names. Total scam, no doubt about it. Since it’s a machine reading a script and not someone live, the Telephone Preference Service won’t do anything about it. On the bright side, you can report these scams on the Which? consumer site, which helps track them. Another good move is to notify the Information Commissioner’s Office - easy to find online. The more folks report, the better chance they get to see how big this issue really is.

They just called again a moment ago but hung up before I could answer.

The phone kept ringing on and off but I never got round to answering it. It ended up waking my elderly mum as it was about 9 in the morning. Bit annoying really!
