When they possess neither pertinent information nor accurate details from the outset, it's a strong indicator of a scam. It doesn't matter if they’re a PPI outfit trying to reel in customers; the fact that they’re relying on fabricated details to extract genuine personal information from me is utterly inappropriate and fraudulent.
