This is straight up illegal and pure dodgy behaviour! How come they keep getting away with ripping us off like this? This call was definitely suspicious and deserves reporting. There was background noise like traffic or street sounds, which made me doubt the call was legit straight away. The person on the line claimed to be from some random company I’d never heard of, and then asked if I still lived at an address I’ve never actually lived at. When I told them that, I asked what the call was about. She said it was regarding interest paid on credit cards I supposedly had. I wasn’t having any of that and ended the call there. If they don’t even have your correct details and are already using false info, it’s probably a scam. Whether it’s some dodgy PPI firm or something else fishing for personal info, trying to trick you like that is definitely dodgy and could be fraud. My advice? Just hang up straight away or block the number so they don’t bother you again.

Definitely worth reporting this one. Right from the start, I could hear noisy street sounds in the background, making me suspicious that this wasn’t a genuine call. Then the woman claimed to be from some dodgy company and asked if I was still living at a postcode I have no connection to whatsoever. When I told her that was wrong and asked what the call was about, she mentioned something about interest on credit cards I supposedly had. At that point, I just ended the call. If they can’t even get the right info and try to trick you with fake details, it’s most probably a scam. Whether it’s some PPI claims outfit or not, using false info to try and get your personal details is seriously shady and likely fraudulent. My advice?
