Got a call from a woman asking for my dad, who passed away some time ago. She sounded like she was from a healthcare service, trying to ask about his health. Turns out the company is We Care Global Ltd, which actually sells vitamins and nutritional supplements online. My number’s on the TPS list, yet they still rang me - now I’ve blocked their number.

Got a call from a lady who sounded African, asking for me by name. She claimed to be from some Wellness Centre and wanted to know what meds I’m on. I asked if she was from the NHS, and she said no, but mentioned she was doing a survey about medicines to maybe recommend vitamins. I told her, “Hang on, you want info on my meds? Ever heard of data protection laws?” She quickly said sorry and said goodbye, promising to remove me from their list. Yeah, right, totally genuine!

Yesterday, my father in law got a call from this number, selling some miracle pill for gout that supposedly has "green lipped mussels" in it. They asked for his card details right over the phone, which thankfully he didn't agree to. The business is located in Bury, Manchester, so it’s odd that they’re calling from a London number, isn’t it?

Got a call from some health care place. They wanted to know how I’m doing and if I get enough exercise. I told them they probably have my info already, so why ask? I ended the call quickly and hung up. Then they rang me straight back but I just ignored it. What’s the best way to block these calls for good? It’s so annoying!

Today I got a call from a pleasant lady named Vanessa, speaking with a thick Indian accent. She asked loads about how I was feeling, which was all fine, but then she started trying to sell me this turmeric supplement. I said straight away I wasn’t interested in giving out any payment details. She actually took it quite well and mentioned she worked for a place called VK Global in Greater Manchester. I looked them up afterwards, couldn’t find any genuine health company under that name. So yeah, I think I was right to be wary. Honestly, I’d say don’t take anything at face value and keep your guard up!

Then suddenly he starts trying to push some pills on me. I said I wasn’t bothered and hung up. No surprise, he called me again - and he must have rang about four more times after that. Very annoying!

My mum got a ring from this number and the woman on the line said her name was Ruth, but never mentioned where she was calling from. She asked if my mum lived by herself and if she had any health issues, like Alzheimer's or anything. Then she wanted to know what she usually does during the day. When the questions got a bit too intrusive, my mum straight up asked why she was prying into such private stuff, and then the woman just hung up. A few minutes later, my mum decided to call the number back. This time a bloke answered and confirmed that asking these kinds of questions was part of their company’s thing, even gave a website address: www.vk.co.uk. Obviously, it’s a scam. I’ve told her that she shouldn’t take calls like this seriously and just hang up if anything sketchy comes up again.

This number rang my grandma claiming to be from Barclays. She’s got Alzheimer’s and doesn’t keep any bank information around, but you could tell they were trying to get her to share her account details. Quite worrying how they target vulnerable people like that.
