SCAMMED BY A TRAVEL COMPANY - I checked flight prices on Google Flights and contacted this number from the results. I booked and paid for the tickets, but on the day of travel, the agent claimed the flight was cancelled. However, the flight was still listed as active on both LHR and the airline’s website. Later I found out the agent had actually cancelled my booking and pocketed the money. Now they’re just ignoring my calls and emails. The airline confirmed my reservation was made but since no payment was received, they never issued the ticket to me or the agent.

I got a call from someone saying they work at Star Alliance’s call centre. They were trying to peddle some travel tickets and wanted my debit card details. But weirdly, they wouldn’t give me any email address or proper contact info unless I paid up first. Seemed really dodgy to me.
