If you ever end up talking to a proper person on the phone, just let them know that the conversation is being recorded for legal and training reasons. Then tell them to hang on a sec while you grab a pen and paper to jot down their name, the company they’re calling from, and why they’re ringing, just in case it needs to be used in court later.

This is the second time they've called, both times early Monday mornings. Sounds like they’re hoping a lady will pick up since they cut off straight away, though I catch some faint noise before they do. Gotta say, it’s a pretty sad way to earn money. I guess deep down they know it won’t last, but they really seem at their wits’ end. It’s irritating, but just shrug it off and carry on with your day.

There was that typical noisy call centre buzz in the background. The line was awful, really crackly, making it hard to catch everything he was saying. Still, I picked up pretty fast that it was a sales pitch for spray-on roof or loft insulation. He droned on for over five minutes going on about how great it was before letting me get a word in. I told him my loft’s already fully insulated and fully converted, so there's no way to reach any rafters. Plus, I mentioned I'd already told his mate who called me the day before. Then, out of nowhere, he says I’m the one wasting HIS time! Ridiculous.

Got two calls pretty quick from the same number today, like only half a min apart. Heard some chatter from a call centre but they didn’t say a word or leave a voicemail.

Just got a call from this number about 10 minutes ago asking when I last insulated my loft. I said it was about a year and a half ago, and she started going on about the fibreglass not being good enough. I told her everything’s fine up there and then ended the call.
