Got a call earlier from someone saying they were with O2, trying to send me a new 5G sim card. I asked for my name to be sure who they were talking to, but they couldn’t say it. Definitely a dodgy call - watch out for scammers!

I’ve had three calls from them today already. Ignored every one. No clue who they think they are, but honestly, don’t they have something more important to be doing?

Got a text message on my mobile from 02030029535 saying I’d missed a call on Thursday 26th September 2024 at 12:05pm. They said they were from Call Alert at O2, but I knew that was rubbish since I hadn’t actually missed any calls. I’m on the TPS list anyway, but apparently, that makes no difference to these lot.

This number called me saying my phone’s SIM was old and had to be replaced. But then, when I asked more, they said they could just update it, which sounded a bit fishy to me. I told them if it really was outdated, they should just send a new SIM over. I called it out as a scam straight away. They weren’t happy with that and ended up hanging up.

Got a dodgy call from someone pretending to be o2 staff, saying my SIM was about to get cancelled 🙄 total scam!

Got a call from someone pretending to be O2, but they had no clue about my name. They said they were offering me a new SIM and some sort of compensation for service problems. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a phone call that nearly tricked me, but I caught on just in time. I've blocked the number and told O2 about it. I've also gone ahead and updated all my passwords and personal info just to be safe.

The caller claimed to be from O2 and offered a 30% discount on my bills together with a new 5G SIM card. The caller insisted that the only thing he needed was my email address. I advised that O2 already had my email address. The caller was very argumentative and did not want to answer any questions. He then advised that my SIM would stop working from Friday and threatened to put a stop on my SIM card immediately if I did not agree to update my SIM card.

Didn’t pick up the call but decided to search the number since it was unfamiliar. I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam.

They've rung twice now, barely giving a ring before hanging up. No way I'm returning their call.

They just sent me straight to voicemail and didn’t speak a word, but somehow managed to drop a 12 second clip filled only with background sounds. Weird.
