Got a call from this number claiming to be about a car accident I supposedly had last month. They asked loads of questions about the crash, stuff they really shouldn’t know. When I asked where they got my landline from, considering neither my insurers nor my lawyers ever called me, they said it was from my insurance company. I told them that can’t be right since they don’t have my number. The bloke hesitated and then just cut the call. He sounded Indian, so watch out, this smells like a scam.

Beware of this lot called "J C & A Solicitors" claiming to be accident lawyers working on a 'no win no fee' basis. They almost had me fooled, making out they were linked to my insurance after mentioning a crash where someone hit my car. It’s illegal for them to say they’re instructed by your insurer to deal with injury claims if they’re not. Thankfully, I hadn’t made any injury claims, so I checked with my insurer who then took legal action against these guys for breaching the "freedom of information act". My advice is to just tell them to buzz off and block their number straight away.
