Got a call from this number just now, spoke with a polite bloke with an accent, said he was from 'Windows support' (pretty sure he wasn’t!). I kept him on the line, wasting about ten minutes of his time. When he asked what was on my screen I told him it just said "this is a scam" - he sounded a bit confused at first, but eventually he caught on. Honestly, do these folks ever get fed up with knocking on doors that won’t open? Or do they seriously think they’re legit Microsoft employees? Such madness!

I recently received a call from a number and spoke to a polite gentleman with a foreign accent. He claimed to be from 'Windows Technical,' but I had my doubts about his authenticity. To keep him engaged, I decided to chat with him and unintentionally wasted ten minutes of his time. When he asked what was on my screen, I informed him that it displayed a warning indicating it was a scam. This response seemed to confuse him, and eventually, he understood the situation. It's astonishing how these scammers persist in their foolishness, or perhaps they genuinely believe they are affiliated with Windows. Will they ever grow tired of this cycle, I wonder?

Classic scam stuff. I told the bloke I’d send £100 by recorded delivery as a security deposit, and he goes, “Alright, what’s your address then?” I gave him a made-up one and he immediately asked why I lied about it. I just told him “Cause you’re a bloody conman!”. He got all offended, said I had no empathy and then just slammed the phone down. Bit of me feels bad now, maybe he’s really struggling if he’s resorting to that.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with BT Global Services in London. He said there was hacking going on with our account and even knew the first and last name of the account holder. Lucky for me, we’re with Openreach, so he didn’t get anywhere. My phone stayed busy for a good minute after he hung up.

They repeatedly call me throughout the day and evening. When I pick up, they stay silent and eventually hang up. It's quite frustrating; being subscribed to the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), they shouldn't be calling my private number at all, should they? I really wish there was a way to put an end to this.

Picked up this number earlier today, a bloke with an Asian accent spoke and after a brief pause said my computer had a virus and he was calling from Microsoft’s tech support. When I asked how he knew about the virus, he claimed my PC was connected to Microsoft. I told him I don’t trust phone calls like that and if I had any issues, I’d go to PC World since I have a support plan with them. Then, he just ended the call.

I encountered a gentleman named Christopher with an Indian accent who claimed to be a representative from Microsoft Windows technical support. However, it was quite evident that he was actually an imposter. Unconvinced by his false claims, I promptly ended the call. Sadly, despite taking precautions such as not disclosing my number to anyone and being registered with the telephone preference service, these fraudulent calls persistently bombard me.

Recently, we have been receiving daily calls from this particular number, and sometimes we even receive multiple calls in a single day. However, since the calls go straight to voicemail, they often end abruptly before providing any information. Fortunately, we have caller ID enabled and do not answer calls from numbers that we are unfamiliar with.

I kept him talking for ages, asking him to go over what he wanted me to do again, then told him my son’s in Cyber Security and told me not to listen to idiots like him. That’s when he exploded, saying “I want to f### you properly, you motherf#####.” Lovely chap! Still, was quite fun messing about and I’m definitely getting the hang of wasting their time now. Haha!

Once again, we are plagued by individuals who disturb our peace during inconvenient hours or pretend to be representatives of Microsoft. They are nothing but a bother, persisting for many years on end. Is there no one who possesses the authority to put an end to their nuisance? Sadly, it seems they are still successfully deceiving vulnerable elderly individuals who panic upon hearing the words "There is something wrong with your computer," allowing them to make substantial profits.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft Technical support - typical scam trying to convince me my PC is sending error reports and they need to connect to sort it out and “protect” me. I’ve worked in IT before, so I spotted the con straight away. Played dumb for a bit, acting like I didn’t know how it all worked and asking how they even knew it was my computer. I just attempted to add this number to BT's new free Call Protect service as a blocked number, but it kept saying it's not a valid number. The number shows up with a +44, so I tried entering it without the initial zero. I also tried every way possible - with and without the zero, with spaces, without spaces, brackets around the zero, but nothing worked. The BT Call Protect support chat was absolutely no help either.

10:16 am there was a pause before it connected then a man with an Asian accent claimed he was from Microsoft support about my account. I told him that was rubbish and that Microsoft never calls people. He got a bit irate and said they ring thousands of people. Got a call today at 12:56 from someone claiming to be Microsoft, just like the others before. I kinda enjoy messing with these people, asking stuff like how much they pay for a thousand numbers. Couple weeks back, a TalkTalk scammer told me it was £300 for a thousand, which sounds a bit dodgy since most folks hang up straight away once they realise it's a scam.
