I received a rather suspicious call earlier today, claiming to be from Citizens Advice regarding Government Financial Fraud or some such nonsense. Naturally, I questioned their legitimacy, thinking to myself, why on earth would Citizens Advice be reaching out to me? Before I could delve deeper into my doubts, the caller abruptly ended the conversation. The chap had a distinct foreign accent as well. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Received a call just a short while ago, and my other half, who’s employed at a charity fundraising firm making unsolicited calls, answered it. She unleashed her trademark response that she abhors hearing in her job. The chap on the other end responded quite aggressively, telling her to shove off and began yelling! It’s plainly a scam - stay vigilant!

I've been getting persistent scam calls claiming to be from the credit fraud investigation team. When I started probing them a bit, they insisted they were recording our conversation and would forward it to the credit agency, threatening me with some sort of trouble for asking them to shove off. Quite audacious, really!

Received a call today at ten past three regarding some "unsettled debts." What a right pain in the backside! I informed them that I was registered with the telephone preference service, which should prevent such unsolicited calls. The caller seemed completely unfazed by that and carried on regardless. When I pressed the issue, he got rather flustered and ended the call abruptly.

I've been inundated with a myriad of calls lately from various unfamiliar numbers, and it turns out they're all a load of scams. I've made it a point to avoid answering any calls from numbers that I don't recognise. Reporting these pesky calls to my service provider and flagging them online has seemed to lessen their frequency, but perhaps they would have naturally decreased over time... who can say? It's truly infuriating, and it appears there's no effective way to pin down the issue since they keep switching numbers, if I'm not mistaken.
