On Friday, the 9th of September, my phone rang no less than four times. Three of those calls had an irritating pause before anyone uttered a word, leading me to hang up each time. During the fourth call, someone did speak, but as soon as I detected an accent that sounded Asian, I firmly told them in no uncertain terms to take a hint and stop disturbing me. Then, the following day, Saturday the 10th, they attempted to reach me while I was out and left behind some garbled noise on my answering machine without a proper message. The saga continued this morning, the 12th, when they rang again at exactly 9:08 am. I opted not to answer, and as soon as my voicemail kicked in, they promptly hung up. It’s utterly outrageous! What on earth do they think they will accomplish by this? Surely by now they must realise I’m not falling for their tricks. Or perhaps they haven’t even a clue about the numbers they're dialling.
