A number I didn’t know popped up, so I just answered silently to see what was up. At first there was nothing, but then background chatter from an office came through and a bloke asked for my name. I shot back with "And who might that be?" but he stayed silent. Next he wanted to know what brand my telly was, to which I replied, "I don’t share any details with random callers. Cheers, goodbye." I hung up sharpish so they couldn’t say another word. Sorted!

On the 25th of July 2019, I got a call from 02015478598. The person on the other end knew my name and address already, which was a bit unsettling. They then asked about my washing machine - like what brand it was and when I bought it. They claimed they were doing some sort of survey about which washing machines are the best quality. When I asked where they’d got my details from, the caller just hung up. Definitely going to block this number on both my mobile and landline now.

I got a call from 02015478598, saying they were from a washing machine warranty service. They asked for the brand of my machine. Odd thing is, they already seemed to know my details, which I shared back with them. Definitely not legit, not the folks they claimed to be. :-/

Not sure who was on the line, I didn’t get to find out. Here’s a tip though: if they start asking for someone by name, make sure you ask who they are first. If they get pushy asking for that person or begin spelling out their name slowly, just end the call.

I got a phone call and they asked if I was Mrs something, but when I tried to ask who they were, the line was awful and I couldn’t make out what company they said. I told them I wasn’t interested, then they said they didn’t know what they wanted.
