Earlier today, we received a call concerning the delivery of our local newspaper. The person on the line struggled quite a bit with English but managed to mention that she found our number in the Yellow Pages. It's frustrating since we’re ex-directory and would prefer not to receive any more calls like that!

I've been getting these incessant calls from what seems to be a rather bothersome stock broker, full of the latest 'must-have' investment tips. They keep insisting I invest in some stocks, and apparently, I can get going with just a tidy sum of £30k. Quite pushy, to say the least, as they simply refuse to accept a polite decline. I'm fed up with their persistence!

I’ve received a couple of missed calls from this number, and I’m not quite sure who it belongs to. Does anyone have a clue?

We received a call from this exact number, answered it, and was met with nothing but silence. After doing a bit of digging, we stumbled upon this website. Decided it was best to hang up.

Received a call from this number on my mobile, and the voicemail just captured a couple of seconds of what sounded like nothing but heavy breathing. Honestly, what a bunch of muppets!

I received two missed calls from this number, and I genuinely have no clue who it could be. Does anyone have any insights?

Received a call claiming to be from our local free newspaper, asking if I’d received my copy. They seemed to know my name and address, which I found rather alarming. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

We’re experiencing the same annoyance. It's quite bothersome, to be honest. We keep getting calls late in the evening from an international number that appears to be blocked by O2.

We're in the same boat! There’s something absolutely maddening about it. We keep receiving calls during the evening from Indian numbers, claiming to be associated with O2 but it's just a ruse.

Received a call from a business number that felt distinctly dodgy. It sounded like an overseas ring, probably fishing for direct email addresses belonging to higher-ups in the organisation. Definitely has the whiff of a scam about it!

Absolutely unsettling! I’ve opted out and am signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, yet I still received a call from this number. They claimed to be from the local free newspaper, supposedly checking if I had received it. What boggles the mind is how on earth they knew my name! It's baffling that a free paper would have such information.

Received an unexpected call from a number claiming to represent the Department for Business and Industry. The queries they posed about one of my projects were quite peculiar, and I found it unusual that they opted for a direct phone call rather than the usual postal correspondence with standardised forms. There was something off about the way they spoke, too-very measured and deliberate. Just didn’t sit right with me at all.

Received a call from 02013738356, but when I answered, there was just silence on the other end. I tried ringing the number back, yet it seems to be unrecognised, which is quite frustrating. This feels like a typical nuisance call. I really wish BT would take action and block these sorts of calls!

It appears that this number might be one of those pesky nuisance calls, as I'm unable to reach them when I try to call back.

Received a call while I was perusing the local free paper. I inquired how she came by the number, and she mentioned she found it in a directory linked to the newspaper. Then she proceeded to give me an address that wasn't familiar to me at all. I pointed out that it certainly wasn't ours, to which she rather abruptly asked for my name and address. I made it clear that we had no intention of sharing any details with someone we didn't know, and promptly ended the call.

Absolutely! It appears these pesky calls have resurfaced quite rapidly after a brief period of blissful peace! Just the other day, I had a call from this number, but it was eerily quiet on the other end. Not long ago, we got another one from the so-called "Windows Service Centre." A gent claiming to be David was on the line, yet his grasp of English left much to be desired. We simply told him to shove off and hung up. Then there's this other fellow, also going by David (funny, that!), who was inquiring if I needed new soffits and gutters. It’s really starting to grind my gears now. Best, Ann.

It appears that a firm is after details regarding my business, including names, email addresses, and the like. I can’t help but suspect this information will be handed off to marketing agencies for the purpose of unsolicited sales pitches.

We received a call from this number, and the gentleman claimed to represent a company called Berkshire Media Group in the UK. However, I'm rather sceptical about his credibility, especially since he couldn't even get our business name correct. He kept asking if we were involved with "XXXX," using only a fraction of our full name, which seemed odd. When we inquired about the purpose of the call, he abruptly hung up. Delightful, isn't it? The whole interaction felt rather scripted, almost as if we were conversing with a machine. And the way he addressed us was quite pretentious, as if he thought we were royalty or something. Quite irritating, to say the least!
