On Saturday, my mum received a call from some chaps claiming they had identified some charges that she might be able to get back. They rang her again, mentioning that she should be prepared for yet another call next week to chat about it further. Who are these dreadful characters, preying on my poor mum, who is still reeling from her recent loss? We need to track them down and put an end to this nonsense, pronto!

Received a daft call for my grandmother, claiming they could refund her bank fees if she purchased £300 worth of iTunes gift cards. They insisted that this was necessary to facilitate the cheque delivery right to her doorstep. After they supposedly let her gather her thoughts and head to the shops, I picked up the phone instead. The bloke on the other end was most put out that it wasn’t my nanna he was chatting with, and just kept hurling insults at me, asking who I thought I was. Please, for the love of all that's good, steer clear of these con artists!

I urge everyone to be wary of these scammers; they are nothing but fraudsters! They attempted to convince me that I was entitled to a refund on bank fees I had supposedly overpaid for two decades! I played along and fed them some made-up information. Eventually, they inquired whether I could make my way to the bank on my own or would require a lift. That was my cue to end the conversation promptly!

On the 20th of September 2017, my elderly father, who’s in his seventies, received a call from this number. The caller was inquiring about his name and date of birth, claiming that someone would ring back shortly for further information. Feeling suspicious, we decided to block the number. However, to our dismay, the very next morning, 21st September 2017, the same number managed to get through despite being blocked.
