This number rings me all the time but never bothers to leave a voicemail.

Got a call out of the blue, left no voicemail when my answerphone kicked in. Reading the other replies makes me think it’s a dodgy scam of some kind.

They kept pushing really hard with an offer that sounded way too good to be honest. I told them nicely that I was just waiting for a call from my doctor, but they didn’t seem to care and kept going on. Eventually, I just hung up the phone.

They was pushy and kept going on with offers that sounded way to good to be true. I tried telling them I was just waiting for my doc to ring but they didn’t listen at all. In the end, I just hung up on em.

Heard some weird squawking sounds before the call dropped out.

A woman called claiming to be from First Home, saying I could get grants worth thousands for new windows. I asked if it was part of a government program, and she said yes. When I mentioned that there’s no government scrappage scheme for windows, she put me through to a supervisor. The supervisor said something like, "I understand you believe this is a government scheme," and when I told her her colleague had said that, she quickly said she was new and had mixed things up. Clearly a scam aimed at tricking vulnerable people. We’re also registered with the TPS.

He actually knew my name, which surprised me since I'm ex-directory. The guy, I think he said his name was Ciaran or something similar, mentioned he was ringing about some environmental programme. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a random call from someone claiming to do home repairs and said they’re "serving this neighbourhood". Didn’t seem to know about the TPS list at all.

Got a call earlier, loads of noise in the background like it was coming from a call centre or something. The guy asked if I was Mr Cable, I told him no, then he asked if I owned the property, I said I don’t. After that, he just ended the call.

I just got a call from someone asking about the age of my double glazing. I said it was newly fitted. Then they wanted to know who did the installation, so I gave them that info as well. When they figured out I wasn’t looking to buy any double glazing, they switched to asking about porches and conservatories. I told them mine were both freshly done, so they tried to sell me security systems next. I said I’m on the TPS list and quickly ended the call!

The phone rang but before I could even get to it, the caller was gone. They’ve tried calling a few times now. Total scammers, honestly.

They never said who they were, so I figure it was just some random cold call. I've got TPS on my side, but still went ahead and got a BT call guardian for my phone - honestly, best decision. After reading other people's reviews, I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call earlier about some home improvement grants. I told the bloke I’m on the TPS register so no cold calls should be coming through. He argued I needed to renew it and wasn’t actually on the list. I replied I wasn’t interested and hung up. Later had a look at TPS myself and it showed I’m still on there with no need to renew.

Not sure who this is. I've been getting loads of calls about fake BT bills lately, so this one might be the same kind of scam.

Typical rubbish coming straight outta the capital.

Didn’t recognise the number at all. They didn’t leave any voicemail, so I’m guessing it’s just one of those annoying nuisance calls.

I picked up the phone, but all I could hear was some clicking noises in the background before the call ended suddenly.

Got a call from some random number that was dead silent, and I couldn’t call it back even if I wanted to. Very odd.

Got a call in the evening and just let it go to my voicemail. Didn't pick up since the number was unfamiliar to me. Pretty sure it was just some random cold call.

Got a call from someone who surprisingly knew my name, asking if I’d got a letter meant for ‘all householders’ at my place. They were chatting about home upgrades and some scrappage scheme for swapping out old double glazing over eight years old. I’m on the TPS and shouldn’t be getting calls like this. I asked them to take me off their list, and they weren’t rude or pushy at all, actually removed me when I asked. Still, I really shouldn’t have been called at all.

Was chatting loudly with a mate about some home DIY when this bloke rings me up and I just pick up on a whim. He goes on nattering away, then sorta mutters his sales spiel like he’s doing me a favour. Didn’t hang about, I just ended the call there. Proper rude behaviour from him and whoever he’s working for, if you ask me.

Got a call from some home improvement firm, and the bloke asked for me by name straight away. I asked where he got my details from, and he said they bought them off some company. So I asked if they bother following the TPS rules, and he said I hadn’t renewed it in over a year. Told him that’s meant for businesses and I don’t usually get calls like this from others. Then I mentioned there’s a £5000 penalty for junk calls like this. His reply? That he’d be happy to pay that fine. I couldn’t help myself and told him exactly what I thought of him.

Got a call from this number but no message left. Could be scam or just spam, who knows! Just a heads up, if you pick up and they start asking for your info, don’t share anything. I’ve blocked it now. Stay safe with numbers like these!

Got a courteous man ringing about home improvement quotes. When I asked him to say the company name and address again, he goes, “are you on the TPS?” Once I said yes, he said he’d remove my info from their system. Honestly, why they don’t bother checking the TPS list beforehand is beyond me!

Got a call from some company claiming to be Home Improvements based in Kingston-on-Thames. Just another annoying cold call, really frustrating!
