7 yearsToday, Tuesday 25th June 2019 at around 12:36pm, I got a call from a London number. The area code suggested it was from the capital, but it turned out to be a recorded message from a man with a British accent claiming to be from BT. He warned that my broadband and landline would be cut off unless I pressed 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to start the disconnection. I didn’t go any further with it. The voice sounded kind of robotic and a bit creepy, like a middle-aged bloke reading from a script. It was the first time I got a call from this number, although recently I’ve been getting loads of dodgy calls with area codes from places like Shrewsbury, Swindon and London. None of those numbers show up when I try to look them up.
