Had this call from a man with a strong Asian accent, said he was from some crime agency working with HMRC, claiming I owed nearly £2,000 for taxes from way back, like 2006 to 2010. I told him I’d just chatted with HMRC the week before and they hadn’t mentioned anything about me owing money (which is true, I’m all up to date). What’s weird is I was actually trying to ring a mate nearby and before it even started ringing, this guy just jumped in and spoke to me. Tony, West Midlands.
