A company claiming to be from the telephone preference service rang me up asking how many unwanted calls I get daily, even though I’m already signed up with TPS. Then they started on about a new service costing just £20. I told him I didn’t want it, but he insisted they’d already taken £20 from my bank. I checked straight away and there was no charge. When I said it was basically fraud if they’d taken money without my ok, he just ended the call.
