Just realised this happened to me recently. Someone rang pretending to be from 02, saying they could lower my bill. They somehow got access to my account and put an iPhone and a contract for airtime in my shopping basket. I managed to cancel everything and updated my passwords straight away.

So these guys rang me up saying I could get 30% off my mobile bill. Then out of nowhere, he passes me to his supervisor. I asked her how I could be sure it was all above board, and she just ended the call. Bit worried now I might have given away too much and that they could use my voice for something dodgy.

Lately, I’ve been getting quite a few calls from a company called FleXtel ltd. I’m really tired of their persistent attempts to sell or scam, whatever it is they’re doing. Since I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, they’re wasting their time with me. But I’m worried that some more vulnerable folks might fall for it, so I’d say these are not just annoying but potentially HARMFUL calls.
