Got a call from someone saying they were from the Halifax fraud team, saying there were some dodgy transactions they needed to verify with me. Then they asked for a code from my Apple Pay to “stop the payment” and sent it by text, clearly hoping I’d just hand it over without a second thought. I double-checked my bank account myself and found nothing wrong. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I didn’t answer it. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either. Might not be one of those annoying sales calls - but probably is.
