Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He actually knew my last name and told me that I could get a discount on all my calls since I’d apparently been a customer for ages. When I asked him exactly how long I’d been with them, he said he needed to register me first. So I asked again how long I’d been a customer, and then he just cut the call. Total scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, asking if I’m over 50. He went on to tell me I qualified for a special BT discount. When he asked for my birthday, I knew it was dodgy, said it sounded like a scam, and just hung up.

Got loads of silent calls from this number, nothing said but they keep ringing non stop hoping you’ll ring them back. Proper annoying scam if you ask me.

This number has been calling me loads over the past couple of weeks. If it goes to voicemail, I just ignore it, but if someone picks up, I put the phone down straight away.

This number rang me offering some kind of discount from BT, much like others mentioned. They asked for my bank info which I found dodgy. Later on, I got another call from someone claiming to be with the National Crime Agency pressing for more account info. I contacted the real NCA and they confirmed it was just a scam trying to trick me again. I’ve since reported everything to Action Fraud.

The phone rings around the same time every day and since the number pops up on the caller ID, my husband usually picks up, thinking it should be alright. But the person on the other end was mumbling and it was impossible to tell if it was a bloke or a woman, so he just ended the call. I'm gonna block this number now.

I got a ring from 0200800150, and it was some guy with an Indian accent who gave a ridiculously English name. Like others have said here, he claimed he was from BT and told me because I've been a loyal customer, always paid up, and I'm over 50, I was eligible for a 45% discount on my bills. What freaked me out was he already knew the first four digits of my sort code, my bank's name, the branch, and even part of my Visa card number. I cut him off straight away and added the number to my block list.

A woman with a foreign accent rang my mum claiming she was from BT and asked for her bank details. When mum explained she didn’t have her card because my brother was holding onto it, the caller insisted she get the number from him and said she'd ring back. Mum suspected it was a scam straight away and told her she didn’t have the card. The woman just hung up after that. Later, mum rang BT who confirmed they’ve been getting loads of these calls and appreciated mum letting them know, advising her to get in touch again if anything similar happens.

i always ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers. i let them ring out till it goes to voicemail and if nobody leaves a message and they just hang up, then i check who called me online. if it seems dodgy, i just block it straight away.
