Someone named Alex rang me claiming he worked for Microsoft and that my computer was under attack, but he’d fix it for me. I asked him for his contact number, which turned out to be 02003849273. He called me from this number 01524221706. I told him I wasn’t comfortable continuing the conversation as I wasn’t sure who he really was.

I got a call telling me it was from Microsoft, saying I was at risk of being hacked while using my PC. They asked me to get on my laptop so they could show me how to keep safe, but something felt off so I just hung up. The number they originally rang me on wasn’t this one, but this is the number they told me to call back: 01644 450 240. Didn’t trust it at all.
