8 yearsI never pick up numbers I don’t recognise. Since this morning, I’ve had four calls all starting with 020, and I keep blocking them as they come through. Here are some of the numbers: 02002679296, 02079679772, 02079593929, 02003721715. Then yesterday I had one from 02079166095. I reckon these are linked to some no-fault accident claims. I got in touch with Swinton’s insurance, and they said you actually have to report claim incidents properly. Seems like these dodgy firms are signing up, grabbing info, and pestering people who are properly insured. It’s been relentless since a car bumped into us last April. Is there no way to stop these scammers getting hold of personal details? I also had calls from Sheffield (01143498414) and Norwich (01606649778) in just two days.
