Got a call saying it was from BT Messaging but something about it felt dodgy so I didn’t bother responding to the voicemail. I looked up the number, 0200300330, and found out pretty quickly it’s actually a SCAM! Lucky I stayed off the hook. Then, not long after, they rang again and even tried to get me to call an 0845 602 1111 number - I just ignored it since I never trust unexpected texts or calls like this nowadays. These nuisance calls are getting so frequent I’m honestly starting to doubt every random number that comes up. Wouldn’t it be brilliant if our phone companies could provide some kind of automatic scam filter that highlights suspicious numbers or ones that don’t match up with who they claim to be? You’d think that would be easy to do at the network level.

Got a call with an automated woman speaking in an American accent just like you. They were accusing me of tax fraud - which is nonsense, since I’m retired and don’t pay taxes. I immediately blocked the number. These nasty scammers could really terrify some older folks with those messages. Honestly, there should be some way to put an end to this rubbish.

Got a call from this number where someone was accusing me of tax fraud and said there’s a warrant for my arrest. Sounds like a scam to me.
