I received a message purporting to be from a BT Messaging service, but my gut feeling told me to steer clear of their prompt to retrieve messages. A quick search revealed the number, 0200300330, and it was flagged as a SCAM! I wisely ignored their call, but within a minute, they attempted to reach me again, followed by a text luring me to ring an 0845 number, 0845 602 1111. Unsurprisingly, I chose not to engage, as it was yet another unsolicited message. This constant barrage of dubious calls is making me suspicious of every unexpected ring I receive. It would be brilliant if our phone service providers could implement an automatic screening system to identify potential scams and flag numbers with unverified details. Surely, that can't be too difficult to set up from their end?

I just got a message on my phone from a woman speaking in an American accent, claiming I’m implicated in tax fraud. As a retired individual who doesn’t even pay tax, I thought it was utterly ridiculous and promptly blocked the number. However, I can’t help but think about how distressing this could be for other older folks who might take such threats seriously. It’s absolutely appalling that these lowlifes are allowed to run rampant. We really need to find a way to put an end to their despicable tactics!

I received a rather alarming phone call from this number, claiming that I’m facing charges of tax evasion and that there’s a warrant out for my arrest. It was quite unsettling!
