Got a call from someone saying my computer licence was about to run out and that they'd been emailing me. I told them straight up they're just scammers hoping some elderly person might fall for it. I said I know heaps more about computers than they ever will and really hope the authorities track them down and give them what they deserve. Then the bloke told me to f##k off! Lovely bunch, really.

Got a call from someone saying their name was Alex, claiming to be from CAB about some unpaid debts. I told them if they ring me again I'll report them to Ofcom. Sorted it by blocking the number.

Got a voicemail from this number warning me I’m behind on my taxes and telling me to have my solicitor ring them up! Problem is, I don’t have a solicitor at all. What’s more, they rang a couple days earlier, and when I picked up, it was an Irish bloke who started shouting some awful threats about my family that I won’t even repeat. My answerphone had a bunch of missed messages from this number. When I rang back, it didn’t show up as a known contact. Seems like one of those cold call lotteries to me. The calls came just before the local elections in early May, but they quit ringing after about a week. They tried asking for a Mr or Mrs, but I’m a Miss, so they obviously had the wrong info.

So, it turns out Zenith Windows are linked to this Green Deal thing, which is really just a ploy to gather leads. If you fancy, put yourself through their spiel and have a rep come round, then ask why they keep ringing you despite being on the TPS list. The poor chap on the ground probably has no control over it, but it’ll wind up the boss for sure! Also, have a peek at Zenith’s TrustPilot reviews - they’re quite revealing.

Been getting like 26 calls from some lot claiming to be about a green deal funding. Every single time, I tell them to stop calling and remove me from their list and they keep saying they have. Funny thing is, I’m not the only one dealing with this nonsense. Honestly, Ofcom needs to step up - this is just getting out of hand.
