10 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady claiming to be named Jessica, who stated she was representing Lloyds TSB Bank. She mentioned that I had successfully applied for a PPI refund and was entitled to a handsome sum of £3,000. Jessica provided me with a reference number and Customer ID, assuring me that a courier from the High Court would soon be delivering half of the payment in cash, while the rest would come as a cheque. All I needed to do beforehand was to fork out £200 as part of the commission, which she insisted had to be paid in iTunes gift cards! She supplied me with a phone number, 020 719 32902, to call back once I had the vouchers. Feeling suspicious, I went straight to my local bank, where I learned that this was indeed a scam. Upon dialling 1471, the incoming number turned out to be 02000094410.JessicaLloyds TSB BankHigh Court10 yearsToday, our home phone kept ringing and the caller was seriously rude and threatening. They wouldn’t stop calling, kept ringing repeatedly, so we ended up having to unplug the phone. We reported it to our phone company and they told us to dial 1471 so we could find out who called last, which showed the number 02000094410.10 yearsI had an extremely unsettling encounter with a chap who professes his affection for me, yet also claims to be employed at Lloyds TSB. To add to the strangeness, he insists that he's actually seen me in my garden? I tried ringing them back and it said the number wasn't valid or recognised. Really strange, this one.Submit Your Own Report (020 0009 4410)
