They keep ringing me about some car crash. I just end up singing a tune before I drop the call now.

The phone rang and I picked up, this Indian lady asked for my missus by name. I just couldn’t hold back and asked if she’s the undertaker, since my wife’s been flat out on the kitchen floor with a doctor here, dead for about an hour, waiting for someone to take her away. She seemed shocked when I said dead. I told her to stop calling and that I’m onto their scam. If they wanna play games, two can play at that!

I’m not listed in the directory, so I was under the impression that it was illegal for them to ring me.

I picked up the call, but there was absolute silence on the other end. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially since I only took the call because my little girl is unwell, and we’re waiting for the hospital to ring us about her surgery. I usually ignore unfamiliar numbers, but this time I thought it might be important. Honestly, they ought to be held accountable for this!

I got a call from this John guy, sounded like he was from some place called multigen, something about their services. Bit fishy if you ask me.

For the past few weeks, I've been getting calls from 0200000000, sometimes nearly a dozen times a day. Whenever I pick up, the caller just ends the call straight away. I can't simply ignore it since I need my phone for work. My wife refuses to answer now, preferring to wait for a voicemail before calling back herself if she recognises the number.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly, but there's never a soul on the other end. It’s clearly some sort of scam, isn’t it? I'm curious to know if there are any steps I can take to address this issue!

I'm fed up with this number incessantly calling me, only to be met with silence on the line. I attempted to return the call, but it just sounds like a disconnected line. Something really ought to be done about these callers!

I'm thoroughly tired of this number ringing me constantly. When I answer, there's just silence on the other end. I've got far more important things to attend to than waste my time with these pranksters.

I've been getting calls from this number incessantly for over a month now. Today, someone finally spoke, but after I asked how they got hold of my number - seeing as I'm ex-directory - they just hung up on me. The caller's number is 020 0000 0000. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

I’m really at my wits’ end with this particular number. They manage to mispronounce my name every single time, and it's infuriating! It’s an Asian woman on the other end. I keep requesting to have my details removed from their list, but it seems like my pleas fall on deaf ears!
11 years
Oh, what a bother this number is! It gives me a bell four times daily, at the very least. I've never picked up, and I've even put it on my block list. Strangely enough, the calls persist, albeit only for a fleeting second, and I’m left with a text notification for a missed call. The call blocker seems to work for a bit but then requires resetting. It's frustrating how our mobile phones are equipped to do nearly everything except effectively silence persistent callers for good. I've lodged a complaint with my network provider, but the only advice they've given is to rely on the phone's call blocking feature. Quite the nuisance, isn't it?

This number has attempted to reach me thrice in quick succession. Each time I turned down the call, my phone lit up again just moments later! I have a strict rule against answering 0800 numbers or any calls that seem dodgy or unfamiliar. Additionally, I’ve made it a point to never share my number for any online "promotions," "contests," or "sign-ups." It’s just not worth the hassle!

I've been receiving calls from this number every single day, both during the afternoons and in the evenings. I did pick up on the first occasion, but there was nobody there to say anything. Quite odd, if you ask me!

I'm growing quite weary of this number constantly bothering me. If there's no response after a single greeting, I simply disconnect the call. I do hope measures can be taken to address this issue.

This pesky number is really getting on my nerves! Why is there no action being taken? The government seems to manage to extract cash for everything under the sun, so why on earth can’t they put a stop to this constant hassle? It's about time someone tackled this issue!

I had this call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft saying my devices were full of viruses or something. I used to get annoyed but now I just hit block on my phone since I've got a call blocker app, and it cuts them off immediately. Although, they don't give up that easy - after a bit, they ring again but with a totally different number. Quite the nuisance!

I'm curious, has anyone here had experiences with TalkTalk? I can't help but think these callers are reminiscent of that lot. I'm getting at least a couple of calls each day, which is eerily similar to how things began with TalkTalk, and before long, it turned into an incessant barrage-one every hour, with some bloke spouting downright vile comments to me. Could it be that my information has been shared again?

I received a rather peculiar call from this number earlier. The chap on the line, who seemed to have an Asian accent, mentioned something about a debt and a government initiative aimed at reducing it. He was quite eager to find out the amount of debt I had to determine if it fit within their scheme. To be frank, communication was somewhat of a challenge; I struggled to grasp what he was saying and vice versa, which led to a rather awkward back-and-forth. In the end, I didn’t receive any useful information, and I made it clear that I wanted my number removed from their records. Time will tell if they ring me again!

I’m curious, has anyone else here had dealings with TalkTalk? These calls remind me so much of that lot. I’ve started getting a few each day - it’s exactly how it kicked off with TalkTalk for me, and before long, it turned into an incessant barrage, with some fellow spewing the most appalling nonsense. It makes me wonder if all our info has somehow been leaked again!

What an absolute bother! I’ve been receiving calls from this number repeatedly throughout the day, almost without fail. When you pick up, they’re annoyingly familiar, using my name as if we’re old mates, only to launch into their rehearsed spiel insisting it’s not a sales call but merely a casual chat about my lifestyle. I’ve pleaded with them on numerous occasions to take my number out of their database, yet the calls keep coming in from the crack of dawn until well into the evening. It’s beyond frustrating!

I keep getting calls from this number several times a day, always asking for a Mr Watson. When I tell them they’ve got the wrong person and to take me off their list, the woman on the other end, who sounded Asian, actually accused me of pretending not to be him. These lot are definitely scammers - they do anything to scam you out of your cash. Once they realise your number is active, they don’t stop calling. I’ve started letting my answerphone screen the calls and, as expected, they never leave a message or get through.

Yesterday, I received a call from this number for the very first time. It's been a while since I've encountered calls from it. Back on 2nd December 2015, I invested in a pair of BT 8500 Call Blocking phones, and they’ve been a game changer, managing to block a staggering 26 nuisance calls so far. At last, I can enjoy some much-needed tranquillity. Since the beginning of 2011, I’ve endured a whopping 906 calls in total, some annoyingly even from my own service providers! I regularly compile a list of these numbers to send to my local MP, who is dedicated to tackling this issue. Best of luck to her in her efforts. I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service and have been ex-directory for years. I’ve also registered with various bodies, including Trading Standards. Honestly, I cannot recommend these phones enough-mine cost me £49.99 for a pair, plus £3.00 for postage. It’s an absolute bargain for the peace of mind they provide!

I find myself in a similar situation to many others; this number has called me no fewer than twelve times over the past couple of days. Each time I request them to cease contacting me and to eliminate my number from their records, they either resort to pleading for my participation in their so-called market research or simply cut the line. It’s utterly frustrating that despite my complaints to the TPS, the calls persist unabated. It's infuriating to pick up the phone only to be met with someone attempting to woo me into a chat. Perhaps I should flip the script and give them a bell for a takeaway order-let’s see how they’d respond to that!

For the past month, my mother has been inundated with calls from this number, ringing her up to seven times daily! Most of the time, when she picks up, there’s just silence on the other end. However, today I decided to answer for a change, and an African gentleman asked for my Mum by name. I mentioned she wasn’t available and that I was part of the family, hoping he could chat with me instead. Just as he began his sales pitch, I firmly told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. To my surprise, he promptly rang back, insisting that I should at least hear him out. I reiterated my disinterest and hung up once more. When he tried again, I answered only to promptly disconnect without giving him the chance to say a single word. This whole situation is utterly unacceptable!

It genuinely astonishes me that some folks on this platform seem unaware of multicall devices. Essentially, they ring up to ten numbers simultaneously, but only the individual who picks up first engages in conversation-everyone else just gets left hanging. It gives the impression that there’s nobody on the line for the remaining nine!
If you wish to avoid these pesky calls, investing in a BT phone for around £35 is well worth it, as it eliminates the issue altogether.

This number 02000000000 keeps ringing me up claiming to be from some computer security company. They go on about how my email's been hacked and is being used in some foreign country. Then they try to sell me a "protection" plan for my computer - £99.99 for a year or nearly £200 for three years, promising better speed and all that. Honestly, it's just a total rip-off! This number has been hounding me, ringing me thrice a day at the very least (who knows how many times they've tried while I’m busy at work!). I keep getting calls from someone speaking with an Asian accent from the number 02000000000. They always ask for my name but I mess about and say something daft like "Elma Jay Chickens###e." After that, it goes silent for a bit and I can hear other people talking in the background. I reckon it’s another one of those scams where they try to get you to access your computer so they can nick your money. Honestly, the government should really clamp down on these annoying calls. Even though I’ve blocked a lot of numbers, some still keep slipping past.

My mum has been pestered by these callers seven times now, pushing her for her banking information. It's left her quite anxious about picking up the phone at all. Word has it, they're particularly preying on the elderly to get hold of their accounts. One chap claimed to be from Millennium Talk, and when he introduced himself as Adam Smith, his accent was distinctly not from around here, as others have pointed out in previous posts.

Received a call today, the 20th of May, 2015, at precisely 09:58 GMT. I opted not to pick up as I had a dodgy call the previous day at about the same hour. The number seemed rather peculiar, prompting me to do a quick search online. Turns out, there’s quite a bit of information regarding those behind this number. Definitely a scam!

I received a rather similar call myself earlier today. Apparently, I'm due to receive a cheque worth £4,681.00, which they’ll supposedly deliver straight to my door. All I've got to do is pay a fee of £95.00 at a nearby PayPoint. The caller introduced herself as Emily Wilson-although her accent was quite pronounced and not local at all-claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice Money Saving Expert. She provided me with a number to reach her back, which was 0161 8186104. After the call, I did a 1471, and funnily enough, the original call came from 02000000000. I gave that number a go, but it appears to be nonexistent! When I phoned the 0161 number, I was greeted by a gentleman with a distinctly foreign accent; it sounded like he said "Pink Scowling". Quite the peculiar encounter, isn’t it?

I recently received a call from this number but, unfortunately, wasn’t able to pick up for a few reasons outlined below. I've become rather familiar with the relentless "Microsoft" scams that seem to crop up incessantly-it's incredibly irritating, given that I still have to either glance at my phone or decide whether to pick up or let it ring. On one occasion, I actually decided to lead them on by grumbling about the issues I was having with my double-glazed windows! Nevertheless, the most straightforward solution has been to invest in a "TrueCall call blocker." It’s roughly £100, but it’s simply brilliant for filtering out all the nuisance calls, and I’ve even ditched my BT “choose to refuse” service. Just to clarify, I have no affiliation or sponsorship with TrueCall-I'm just really pleased with how effective it is!

I received a voicemail that kicked off with mentions of RBS, Lloyds, and Barclays. I decided to end the call.
It's the first instance I've had of a call from this number, and judging by the other accounts I've come across here, it seems to be a scam of some sort.

Today, I received a call from this number, claiming they’re dispatching a cheque for more than £4,000 as a PPI refund. I’m going to hold out for the cheque to arrive. It does concern me, though, that they possess my name and phone number.

Just received a rather dubious call from this number today, purporting to be a representative of the UK government. They claimed I was entitled to a refund of £4,681 because I had been a diligent taxpayer over the years. Unbelievably, they insisted that to claim my supposed refund, I’d need to hand over £150 to their agent who would visit my home. I told them to keep the money for themselves instead and not to bother me again!

I received a rather concerning telephone call from this number earlier today, where the caller asserted there was an unauthorised transaction linked to my account. The tone he used was rather overbearing and confrontational. When I expressed my disinterest in continuing the conversation, I decided to hang up. I feel incredibly relieved that I didn't divulge any personal details!

I've been receiving a phone call daily, yet there’s no one there when I pick up. It's quite frustrating! Does anyone know how I can put an end to these calls?

I’ve received a handful of calls from this number, claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting that my email has been hacked and that I should provide them with my password as well as my bank details. When I expressed my disinterest in continuing the conversation, the chap became quite confrontational, insisting that I had no choice but to engage with him. Unsurprisingly, I decided to just hang up on the call.

I’ve received a multitude of calls from this number, and it’s evident they’re aware of our names. Most often, they claim to represent Microsoft or some tech outfit. It takes a lot of restraint not to give them a piece of my mind! I simply inform them it’s a scam and urge them to quit calling. Honestly, why can't authorities put an end to these pesky scam calls?

I receive calls from this number on a daily basis - sometimes it's several times in just one day! When I pick up, there's a consistent pattern; I hear the phone ringing, and lo and behold, it's the same chap on the line, persistently requesting my Barclays Visa card information. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

We seem to be receiving daily calls from this number, claiming they need to 'repair' our computer and insisting on downloading some software onto our device. Surely there’s a method to trace and put an end to these bothersome calls? I implore someone to take action!

I recently experienced an odd encounter with a number that pretended to be affiliated with National Savings and Investments (NS&I), one that I had saved in my contacts. My phone screen displayed an incoming call from NS&I, but upon answering, there was nothing but silence. Curious and a bit puzzled, I attempted to return the call, believing it to be legitimate, only to be confronted with the rather peculiar 0200 000 0000 number instead. Unsurprisingly, that number turned out to be unreachable. It seems evident that the entity behind this 0200 number is deliberately manipulating their system to impersonate NS&I. Naturally, I decided to reach out to NS&I via their genuine contact number to report this unsettling incident.

What a complete irritation these callers are! I seem to get pestered by them on a regular basis. Just today, one chap rang me up and insisted on having a conversation. I firmly stated that it’s my phone and I’ll talk to whom I please, only for him to resort to calling me a fool - not just once, but several times! He had the audacity to ask if I enjoy being hacked, to which I sharply replied, "Absolutely not, and I’m certainly not fond of being conned either!" In past instances, I’ve had several individuals claiming to represent AOL or Microsoft. I even told one rather persistent lady, "Let’s not kid ourselves; we both know this is just a scam," and she promptly hung up! Is there no way to get these nuisance calls from this number blocked from reaching anyone in the UK? I’m well aware it’s a scam, but I genuinely worry about those who might fall for it and end up in a tricky situation.

I find myself inundated with calls from these pesky fraudsters lately. Whenever the phone rings, my daughter, husband, or I hastily switch the television to the Gaelic channel, crank the volume right up, and press the phone to the speakers. It doesn’t take long before they hang up, utterly frustrated. I dare say they'll tire of this little game long before I do!

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis for the last week. Each time I assertively tell them to stop, yet they persist. They claim that someone abroad is using my email to request £2000 for a medical emergency and insist that if I get on my computer, they can resolve it. Ha! What a load of nonsense! After hanging up on them, that cheeky sod called me back to ask why I'd ended the call. Unbelievable!

I've just received another call from that number, and the person on the line identified themselves as a computer engineer. I playfully responded with, "Oh, I'm one too," and they promptly hung up. Can anyone guide me on how to file a complaint with the police or reach out to someone who can get this number taken off the list?

I’ve gone ahead and flagged this number to the authorities, as they were pretending to be from Microsoft’s fraud prevention team. They inquired whether I’d accessed my email at the crack of dawn, and I reckon I gave them the impression I had. They were incredibly convincing, nearly managed to pull one over on us! Their aim seems to be to gain remote access to your device in order to pilfer your details, so best not to divulge anything to them. Personally, I find it quite satisfying to answer the call and then set the phone aside without engaging-feels like I’m taking control of the situation!

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, claiming my computer has alerted Microsoft to an issue. They assert they’re part of the Microsoft tech team and offer to help rectify it. Any advice on how to effectively deal with this nuisance would be greatly appreciated!

I've received an endless barrage of calls from this number. I've tried everything - reasoning, cursing, even issuing warnings - yet nothing seems to make a difference. The government keeps mentioning fines for these companies, but honestly, how long before they actually act on it?

Every evening, upon returning home from a long day at work, I find this number popping up on my 1471 - it’s relentless, ringing at all hours, day and night. My limited downtime is incessantly disturbed by this particular call and a barrage of other pesky telemarketers. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I still receive a multitude of unsolicited calls from companies across the UK, and some of them actually have the nerve to speak. When I remind them that I’m on the TPS list, they smugly assert they aren’t trying to sell me anything. Clearly, they don’t quite grasp the concept of a cold call. It’s utterly infuriating trying to enjoy a bit of peace in my own abode - how maddening!

Surely, there ought to be measures that telecom providers could implement to curtail these pesky time-wasters - one has to wonder about the dismal existence that leads someone to that! It’s high time they were put in their place; perhaps they should cough up some cash to compensate for the minutes they rob us of? A toll for getting through, maybe?

For quite some time now, I've been inundated with a barrage of calls daily from this number, all tied to a rather dodgy email scam. I’ve even brought this to Virgin’s attention, as they sometimes pretend to be from their server department.
