Got a call from 01997617791 on Friday 12th May 23, some lady with an Asian accent saying she was from PC World. She was trying to convince me to upgrade my phone contract. I asked her to say who my provider was, and she kinda hinted she should already know. When I kept at it, she guessed I was with EE - which I definitely am not! Then she just ended the call.

I reckon there’s this one scammer running loads of autodiallers at once. They seem to grab the first phone that picks up, while all the other rings just get ignored. When a call is answered, that number is saved so they can ring it again later. Pretty nasty trick if you ask me.
