I've received calls from this number, and it seems they're attempting a scam. They pose as O2 representatives, claiming to have enticing offers for upgrading your handset. It's best to steer clear!

I messed up by sharing my Pockit info with scammers pretending to be from Google Play Store and Google Wallet. From now on, I’ll be way more careful and never pick up calls that seem dodgy, especially if it’s some guy with a strong Indian accent saying he’s from Carphone Warehouse, EE, 02 or Virgin Mobile in Strathpeffer, Scotland - which is complete rubbish!!!

This caller said they were from Carphone Warehouse. When I asked them to remove my name from their mailing list, they said it couldn’t be done. I kept repeating myself, and then they threatened to share my number with their friends so I’d get hassled non stop. I could hear my partner in the background, so they tried to switch to her, thinking she’d be easier to fool. Proper dodgy. Never give out your details to people like this.

I ignored this call since I wasn’t expecting anyone from Scotland. ( then again, it might not even be from Scotland, scammers can make it seem like they’re calling from anywhere, right? ) Good thing I didn’t pick up, after reading the comments it seems like a lot of these calls are dodgy people pretending to be legit companies!
