I had an encounter with a dubious character who attempted to pilfer my account details. He posed as a representative from Sky, claiming there was an issue with my “dodgy” broadband router. It was at that moment the penny dropped-I don’t even have Sky broadband! Just another con artist trying their luck, I suppose.

I got a missed call on my phone from an unknown number, so I didn’t pick up. After reading what others have said about it, I’m pretty sure it’s someone dodgy. So, I’ve just blocked it and got rid of the number.

Someone called claiming to be from O2, but I told them I use Vodafone. They just ended the call straight away. Then, a couple of minutes later, the same thing happened all over again.

Loads of times I’ve ignored or missed calls from this same landline recently. They never leave me a voicemail, which got me curious, so I tried ringing back. But it just says the number is unreachable or not in service. I’ve ended up blocking it now. I haven’t actually talked to whoever it is, no messages either, but with how many times they keep calling I reckon it’s just annoying and harassing. Honestly, I wouldn’t suggest calling back any number you don’t already know, it’s probably best to avoid it. I usually just use my work phone to be safe anyway. 😉
