Somebody called me saying there was strange stuff happening on my internet. I played along and when they told me to Google something so they could fix it, I just ended the call. Then, like 2 minutes later, they called back but I ignored it.

Right after I said I don’t have any account with Currys, they just cut me off. They claimed they were calling about my Currys account but that was rubbish.

Got a call from someone claiming to be EE, said I could get half off my bill. Then they asked how much I usually pay - I told them if they were really EE, they’d already have that info! After that, the call just ended. Definitely a scam.

Just got a call from 01997617247 - total scam, I’m sure of it! I’m wondering, where on Earth is Strathpeffer? And why would O2 have a number from there anyway? Seems dodgy to me!

Total con. Paid 30 quid upfront for a new phone that never showed up. Just got mugged off, no phone in the end.

I received a cheeky call from someone claiming to be from O2, but I wasn’t about to fall for that old trick! The audacity! I don’t even have an account with them, yet he boldly suggested he could slash my nonexistent contract by a whopping 30%. Quite the audacious sales tactic, if you ask me!

There was this really thick accent that made it hard to catch what they were saying. They started off with the usual “how are you today?” but then jumped straight into some pitch about a contract costing around £7 a month. I didn't want any of it so I just ended the call there. Selling stuff like that out of the blue is illegal anyway. I've blocked the number now, though I wouldn't be surprised if they just use a fresh SIM every day to keep going.

Got a call on my phone from a number that claimed to be from Strathpeffer, but I don’t have any contacts in Scotland at all. I looked it up online and saw loads of people saying it’s a scam linked to O2 or Carphone Warehouse. So, I just blocked the number straight away.

Most times when a call cuts off after about 4 or 5 rings, I reckon it’s just a telemarketer.

Got a call earlier today, but as soon as I picked up, the line went dead immediately!

Got a call on my mobile from a landline claiming to be from O2, rang me quite a few times. Pretty obvious it was a dodgy scam.
