some bloke rang saying he was from bt, telling me my internet was getting hacked yet again. i told him i’d be reporting his number to the police anti-scam team and he just hung up straight away. when will these scammers finally get sussed?! seriously, anyone with elderly family should block calls like this on their phones asap!!

Got a call from a lady claiming to be from TalkTalk, said my phone line would be cut off today if I didn’t act. She kept telling me to press one and all that. I just hung up and didn’t bother with the other calls that came in afterwards. Tried blocking the number but it seems like it didn’t work properly.

I got a call from someone saying they were from BT, then they transferred me to a senior guy who kept repeating what the first person said. They said there were some error alerts coming from my internet and if I used my computer they could fix it for me. Honestly, their English was quite poor and hard to follow.

Some lady phoned saying she was with BT's call blocking team and asked if I was still getting loads of rubbish calls. She then went on about how they're trying hard to stop them, but it’s taking longer than expected. When I asked which company exactly she was with, she just cut me off. She had an accent but spoke English well and seemed pretty legit at first. Things felt dodgy when she asked for my bank details though. Best not to pick up at all.

Got a call from BT saying my service was down. It was an automated message offering option 1 for tech help or option 2 to confirm disconnection. Didn’t press anything though, worried about hidden charges. This was about the fifth call this week, some with no number shown, others from different numbers.
