MUGGERS! Send any scam texts to 7726 (not a police line) and make sure you block the number. It’s worth dropping an email to your MP asking them two questions: Why can’t we report scam calls directly to the police through the 'action fraud' scam form anymore? And why hasn’t the phone industry got Caller ID Authentication set up yet? It would seriously cut down on these scam calls. For scam texts, just forward them to 7726. Also, if you get scam emails or can snap a pic of scam texts, send them to the police email at '[email protected]' so they can look into it.

Rang me yesterday 9/6/23 - I didn't answer 'cos it was an unknown number. No message was left, so I ended up blocking and reporting it. Glad I didn’t pick up after reading the other comments here.

So apparently, Microsoft got told I was being rude just because I said I didn’t think he actually worked for Microsoft. They claimed I was calling Microsoft scammers and that my call was being recorded and reported, all because I thought I was smart enough to give him job advice!
