Got a phone call from some Indian call centre pushing Vodafone mobile offers for Currys. When the bloke asked me which phone I had, I just cut the call short.

Claiming to be from Vodafone, but honestly, the caller raised my eyebrows big time! I found every word he uttered to be utterly dubious - just didn’t trust him at all!

Got a missed call on 11/10/2023 around 2:28pm, didn't know who it was and there wasn't any voicemail. Looked up the number here and it seems dodgy, so I decided not to ring back.

Got a random call, no one talking on the other end... felt like a scam or one of those silent calls. Anyone else had this? Really suspicious, wasn’t a normal phone chat at all.

I told them I thought it was a scam, and they started swearing then just ended the call on me.

Got a notification about a missed call from Garstang, but funny thing is my phone never actually rang even though the call history shows it was ringing for 19 seconds. I was right beside my phone the whole time! Really glad I didn’t bother calling them back. Definitely going to block that number now.

It definitely wasn't Vodafone, seemed like a total scam to me. They were really unhappy when I tried to ask them some questions and totally didn’t appreciate being challenged! Not impressed at all.

This caller had that typical Indian call centre vibe, trying to guess if you’re on some network and then, out of the blue, offering a “special” deal on an iPhone trade-in. Honestly, felt like a total ripoff to me.

I reckon the bloke was working out of some call centre in India or somewhere. He told me he was ringing from my mobile network, EE. When I replied with a casual 'Alright then', he paused for a bit, like he wasn’t expecting that. Reading through the other comments, looks like these lot just blag they’re from whatever network to try their luck. EE definitely wouldn’t ring from just any number like that. The connection was rubbish and something felt dodgy, so I just ended the call.

I wasn’t sure what was going on at first, since the call showed up as a local number, so I picked up. It was obvious they wanted me to buy something, pushing a supposed 35% discount, but it felt a bit dodgy.

Being in the security field, I’m pretty cautious about calls like this. Today I got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to represent EE Promotions, offering a 40% discount on my EE contract - except I’m not even an EE customer! It sounded dodgy, probably from somewhere like India or Pakistan. I didn’t share any details, not even my actual phone provider, since I knew straight away it was a scam trying to phish info. I’ve blocked the number now. Just watch out for calls like this, they’re definitely not legit.

I deal with security stuff at work so I’m quite cautious, but I got a call from someone claiming to be with EE from somewhere like India or Pakistan. They said they could offer me a 40% discount on my EE phone plan - problem is, I don’t even use EE! I kept quiet about any details, didn’t mention my actual network or anything, as it felt like a dodgy scam call trying to get my info. I’ve blocked the number now. Just be careful out there, folks.
