i got a recorded call supposedly from BT saying my internet would be cut off today and asking me to press a number. this morning alone ive had this message three different times, each from a new phone number. its not the first time either, ive had loads of these calls in recent months but my internet never actually stops working! i'd say just ignore these calls, they're definitely dodgy.

Got a bothersome call but no voicemail. I've just blocked the number now.

Got a call from this number claiming to be BT, saying my internet was going to be cut off today, just like someone else mentioned before. They wanted me to press some buttons and all. I'm ex-directory and don't even have BT, so I held my ground and didn’t press anything. Be careful, don’t go pressing buttons for these!

I tend to avoid answering calls from numbers I don’t recognise, but I sometimes ring them back with my number hidden. However, when I did this, I was met with a recorded message instructing me to dial 08446723322, which turns out to be a premium rate number!
