Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from BT and that there were issues with my internet, which is working fine by the way. She mentioned it was something wrong with the router, so I told her maybe she meant Sky instead. Then she went on to say she was definitely calling from Sky! I told her she needed to get her story straight before I could believe her, and she just ended the call right there!

this number keeps ringing me like 5 times daily, starting from early morning till late at night, for ages now. every time i answer there's no one on the line. i've just started ignoring it or answering and hanging up right away. they never leave a voicemail. reported it to ofcom, it's really frustrating.

Similar to what others have said here, it all seemed pretty believable at first. When I asked for a number to call back, the caller gave me one, but after ringing it, I got nothing - no answer. I then tried calling the last number they used to contact me, but it wasn’t the same as the one they originally gave. Their real phone number turned out to be 01994 4357951, not the 020 8144 8547 they provided.

Like a few others mentioned, I called BT on their 0800 line and managed to chat with a bloke from England. He told me straight that this call, from 01994357951, is a scam originating in India. He said he’d report it to their security lot. He also added that BT would never ring you from any number other than an 0800 one if they needed to get in touch!

I got a call from this number, and when I answered and said hello a couple of times, no one actually said anything back. So, I just ended the call.

had this guy with an asian accent calling me about some supposed internet issue. he’s called three times last week and then again earlier today. even tho i explained we use tps and asked him to take our number off their list, the calls just keep coming. funny thing is, i’m a computer tech myself, so i know our internet is perfectly fine.

I got a call from a bloke with a thick Asian accent saying he was from BT or something, telling me my router wasn’t working right. I told him I wasn’t interested, but he just kept yapping away with a load of rubbish. In the end, I just left the phone hanging off the hook and walked off. Felt good to make him waste his breath for once!
