I've been getting calls from this same number a couple of times over the past week. When I tried ringing back, it just kept ringing and never picked up, which was odd because I expected a message from BT saying the number wasn't valid or something. I'm with TalkTalk and managed to block the number by dialling 14258, which helped a bit.

Got a call this morning too, telling me £600 had been withdrawn from my Visa card. Same message as yours!

This is definitely a scam. I kept getting calls from different numbers over the last two days with a recorded message saying £600 was taken from my visa and to hit 1 to cancel it. It's the fourth time today alone!
