They insisted it was a severe issue and that regular antivirus programs wouldn’t help, only they could fix it. They kept me on the line for about 15 minutes, passing me from one person to another - from a caller to an “expert,” and finally to this so-called “rescue center” guy who wanted control of my PC and planned to charge me £119. I made it clear I wouldn’t be letting them download anything, pay any fees, or get into my laptop. The bloke, who sounded Indian, then got quite rude and pushy, trying to convince me to fall for what I’m sure is a scam.PCEXPERT13 yearsGot a call, was quiet for about ten secs, then I said I’d just leave the line open to run up their charges.
