Received a call today from a chap named Bryan claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. That was all the information I needed, so I promptly ended the call and have since blocked the number, having tracked it down here.

I've put a stop to any further communication from that number.

I've received calls from "Phonehouse" previously, using various numbers. It's always an Indian chap attempting to flog me an iPhone at half price!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from Vodafone, attempting to persuade me into buying an iPhone 14 bundled with unlimited data, calls, and texts for £35 monthly. Quite the tempting offer, but one has to wonder about the legitimacy!

Just had a call from Curry's PC World in Witney, that little village in Oxfordshire, trying to peddle a 50% discount on iPhones. I mentioned I was keen on snagging five for my relatives, and then he simply cut the line. Quite the laugh! 😄😄

I received a call from a woman who said she was representing Vodafone, but there was quite a racket with children screaming in the background. When I posed a question, she abruptly ended the call. I've since decided to block the number.

Over the past three days, I’ve received three separate calls from various numbers. The first caller claimed to be regarding my EE contract, but I informed them I’m not an EE customer. They then cheekily asked if I was with Vodafone, which made me chuckle, and after that, they promptly hung up! On the second day, I decided not to pick up, and lo and behold, today another caller rang me, this time an Indian lady insisting she was calling from “my network.” So I asked, “And which network might that be?” to which she replied, “Virgin.” I couldn’t help but laugh once again, said no, and surprise, they hung up again! Clearly, it’s just a scam – they’re using spoofed numbers. Best to just ignore these nuisances.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, promising an iPhone Pro Max for just £30 a month with unlimited everything. It seemed remarkably generous, a bit too generous, if you catch my drift. They didn’t even bother to mention my name, which rang alarm bells right away. When I inquired as to what my name was, they had no clue. Apparently, they were part of some department that wasn't accounts. Curious, I then probed about my account number, thinking if they’d actually chosen me at random. They couldn’t provide that information either. At that point, I decided to hang up. Definitely a scam!

I chose not to pick up the call.
