I requested that they take my information off their list, but they insisted they were unable to do so. However, they should definitely be adhering to the GDPR regulations. I've sent them a Data Protection Act request to sort this out.Currys PC World3 yearsDidn't pick up the phone.3 yearsI didn’t pick up as the number was unfamiliar, and after checking it out on this site, it appears to be a dodgy call.3 yearsReceived a call from a chap in an Indian call centre claiming to represent EE, trying to entice me with a 40% discount on a phone upgrade. I pointed out that, if he were genuinely from EE, the number would display accordingly on my screen. I firmly instructed him to refrain from ringing me in the future.EE3 yearsClaimed they were representatives from O2 offering me a delightful 30% reduction on my monthly bill. When I mentioned I'd pop into an O2 store to verify, they insisted this offer was exclusively through the call. They even wanted to send me a code which I was supposed to relay back to them. Feels like a dodgy scheme, if you ask me.O23 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from someone claiming to be from O2, my mobile provider-only, it wasn’t really them. This chap, who sounded distinctly Indian, was offering me a generous 30% discount on my mobile contract, which made me quite suspicious.O23 yearsALLEGEDLY from 02. I received a call asking for a code which they said was necessary, but it soon became apparent they were attempting to access my information from afar. I must admit, it came quite close to succeeding as I was only half awake when the phone rang...ALLEGEDLY3 yearsI had one of those Indian scammers on the line for a good 13 minutes before the bloke completely lost the plot and hung up on me, claiming he could get me an iPhone 14 for just £30 a month through O2-though funnily enough, Currys doesn't even offer O2 contracts! Do yourself a favour and don’t hand over any of your details, as it’s all a load of nonsense. However, if you've got a spare quarter of an hour, why not give them a fictitious email address and watch the drama unfold? When you casually mention that the email hasn’t arrived, they really start to panic, especially when you bring up that it's probably ended up in your spam folder and your antivirus flags it as a scam. They’re quick to terminate the call after that!CurrysSubmit Your Own Report (01993 665983)
