I got a call from a woman saying she was from Microsoft and something about my PC. I just cut the call straight away. Then she rang me back and wanted to know why I'd ended it. I told her she was trying to scam me, and she asked if I was accusing her of that. I said yes and then ended the call once more.

Got a call from 01993 3224556, a bloke claiming my computer had alerted Microsoft about some issues. When I asked what company he was from, he insisted it was Microsoft and even gave me a Reading address. I had a feeling it was one of those fix-it scams, so I didn’t hold back telling him exactly what I thought and where to shove it. Predictably, he got rude. These scammers are all the same, aren’t they?

For the past couple of weeks, I've had two calls from someone claiming there were problems with Microsoft and that they had been keeping an eye on it. Got a call at 7.15am on a bank holiday and then another one at 9.53am - both times just silence, super annoying! Clearly they’re not over here in the UK as they’d know it’s a bank holiday. Honestly, why don’t the phone companies step up and block this rubbish?

I got a call from someone saying they were Microsoft. They told me my PC had a virus and gave me a long code to enter. When I asked for a callback number to check, they gave one but insisted I stay on the line. Then they warned if I hung up, my computer would get blocked. I just ended the call and they rang back three times after that. Pretty sure they were trying to scam me for personal or bank details. Watch out for these!

Got a call from this number, and it was exactly like what others have said. Some bloke with a weird foreign accent said it was about Microsoft or summat. He started asking loads of personal questions, which made me suspicious. When I told him I reckoned he was trying to scam me, he got a bit nasty and then just cut me off straight away. Beware of SCAMS! If you get any dodgy calls or texts, make sure you log them with the police through their fraud reporting site. Just search for 'action fraud' or head over to the 'police.uk' website. Find the section about reporting phishing and carefully check all the instructions before you fill in the scam details. Make sure to add any email addresses, links, or websites involved. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve lost cash to the scam. The only way the police can track and stop these crooks is if we all report every suspicious contact we get.

A phone call was received just now from 01993224556. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft, stating that there was an issue with my computer. Got two phone calls today claiming my PC was infected - one pretending to be from "OpenReach" and the other from "Microsoft", both blokes with Asian accents. I played along for a bit till they caught on I wasn't taking them seriously; the second one actually told me to get lost before hanging up. Quite amusing really. Both were desperate to take over my computer to fix some “serious issue” they claimed to find. Seems like a nasty trap for anyone naive, but honestly, they didn’t come across as that clever. Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft Support. I’ve seen loads of scam baiters on YouTube so I’m usually careful, but this one slipped past my Sky Talk Shield since I was expecting a really important call and assumed it was that. Right from the start, she called me by the wrong name, so I asked who she really was. She said she was from Microsoft. Watch out folks, this is a scam! I’ve blocked their number for good. Got a strange call from a woman claiming she could fix my computer. The number had a local area code, which made it a bit confusing, but I had a feeling it was a scam. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Oh, it's definitely one of those Microsoft scams - best just to ignore and end the call. When I asked to talk to Bill Gates to make sure it was the real Microsoft, they actually transferred me! Seeing his pictures, I honestly wouldn't have expected Bill to have such a strong Indian accent! :¬)

The phone rang around 12:50 and we hung up three times, but they immediately called back. It was impossible to get rid of them. They didn't have our correct name and claimed the call was about crimes committed on our laptop. They mentioned our Microsoft license ID. Finally, when we managed to end the call, he threatened to block our laptop.

Got a call from 01993224556 saying they were from Microsoft. I ended the call straight away, but then an Indian woman rang back asking why I’d ended the chat so suddenly. I told her I didn’t use Microsoft, but she insisted they had all my info. Nearly got caught up in what felt like a scam, but something told me Microsoft wouldn't just ring out of the blue like that. Had to hang up on her a few times before she finally stopped.

They kept ringing me back loads of times after I told them I never asked for any help with my computer. When I first answered, they said they were calling about a support request, but I told them I never made one and then I just put the phone down. Honestly, all those calls felt like pure harassment.

Got a call from some guy claiming there was an issue with my PC. When I asked who my internet company was, he said BT - which isn’t true at all. I told him I didn’t think he was legit and then he started shouting and being really nasty, even threatening me! It was honestly vile and shocking behaviour. Totally unacceptable!

Got a call from 01993224556, some woman saying she was with Microsoft. I ended the call straight away but then an Indian lady rang me back, wanting to know why I’d just ended the chat. Told her I didn't use Microsoft stuff and she insisted they had all my info. Could've easily been tricked but something told me Microsoft doesn’t just call out of the blue like that. Had to hang up on her a few times before she finally stopped ringing.

A lady with a foreign accent called, claiming that a Mr or Mrs P.....g resided at this address. I politely informed her that she was mistaken, but she persistently insisted otherwise. To clarify, I firmly pointed out that she had dialled the incorrect number, leading to her abrupt disconnection. Undoubtedly, it appears to be a scam.

I saw a call from an unfamiliar number and chose not to pick up. They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail either. Based on how many times folks have searched it and posted about it just in the last few hours, this number seems sketchy and best ignored.

We recently received a phone call from the local convent on our landline. To my surprise, when I picked up the phone, I was greeted with the unpleasant phrase, "get off my line you te******t"! Initially stunned by the rude remark, I remained silent while they repeated it twice more before finally hanging up. Fortunately, they haven't made any further calls.
