Got a call about 11.45 this morning from a woman saying there were surveyors nearby and asked if I wanted a quote for a security system. She already knew my name, so it’s clear that dodgy folk are sharing info about people. I told her I had bigger things to deal with right now, and she ended the call quite nicely. The last random call I had was about renewing insurance on my washing machine and dishwasher - I told them both were like 17 or 18 years old, and they hung up straight away! You’d think these scammers would check their facts before bothering people, wouldn’t you?

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from 'Home Security Systems', and he was actually yawning while chatting! The old spiel about working nearby and offering a good deal.
