I didn’t pick up since I usually avoid answering calls from numbers I don’t know. It’s a bit odd because not long ago, a bloke who was fixing a roof on the house across the road came round our place to offer a quote. I wasn’t too keen on what he was saying though, especially when he started talking about resin driveways and mentioned ours might need one.

Got a call on my business line, which is also my home number and unlisted. The caller began asking about my driveway. I told him my number is on the TPS list, so marketing calls aren’t allowed. He insisted I’d signed up to get info from them. I requested proof in writing, sent to the address they had on file, citing GDPR rules. He said he was new and then just hung up. Pretty obvious it was a scam, probably trying to trick you into paying for a ‘free’ driveway deal or something like that.
