I've been getting a few calls and a bunch of texts lately asking about a buy-to-let mortgage I supposedly have with Bank of Ireland. The odd thing is, I’ve never applied for anything like that!

So I got a call from this number earlier, and since English isn’t my first language, I had to translate what they said. Turns out it was some kind of survey, but the creepy part is they already know where I live and said they'll be coming by on Tuesday. I’m really not sure what’s the best thing to do now. I can block the number, obviously, but I live on my own and I’m honestly a bit worried about answering the door to strangers.

Got calls on both my mobile and my landline from someone named Simon claiming to be with a surveyor firm from St Albans. They said they needed to do a survey for the Bank of Ireland, but the house they mentioned doesn’t even exist. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.
