I just received a similar call and it left me feeling rather uneasy. Thankfully, we managed to uncover some details about the number here, so I appreciate everyone’s input. Cheers!

We've received several calls from firms similar to this one since we listed our car on Autotrader. Typically, we inquire about the callers’ location before confirming if the car is still on the market. Just recently, we started to research the company, trying to understand their operations, and the woman abruptly disconnected the call! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

What a right bother these folk are! The moment we let them know she's been conning us, she suddenly claims she’d do it at no cost. What on earth was that all about, then?

It took a bit of time, but I'm happy to say our car finally sold the other day! They really helped by listing us on even more platforms. If you sign up and don’t see immediate results, don’t hesitate to give them a ring to follow up. They mentioned that sales would be swifter than what we experienced, but we eventually got there, and I’m quite chuffed about the outcome! 😊

So, a few Fridays back, we received a call from these folks. When I spoke to the chap on the other end, I asked him to send over an email detailing their services. But, surprise surprise, nothing came through! Fast forward to today, which is a Monday, and lo and behold, another salesperson from the same company just rang us up. They’re claiming to have a whole bunch of eager buyers lined up to take a look at our car, yet still no sign of that promised email! I made it clear that I was keen for an email this time, so we’ll just have to wait and see what unfolds next. Quite amusing, really!

We received a missed call from this number on our mobile. We’ve also been trying to sell a car on several free listing sites. After going through these comments, we can’t wait for them to ring again tomorrow! We're ready to spin a story and keep them chatting while we reveal what they're truly in for. Rest assured, we won’t be parting with any cash on our end!

Received an email, had a landline call, and missed a ring on my mobile through the car system. We let them know that they could connect potential buyers with us, but we’re not interested in covering their charges. Cheers to all for validating our suspicions about this being just another tactic to make a quick buck!

Just like all the rest, these folks are incredibly chatty and quite tenacious. They seem determined to squeeze some cash out of you!

Received a couple of calls earlier today from "Vehicle Media" using the same number. They claimed to have keen buyers for our car. We’ve advertised it on Autotrader, and it seems this is the second company to pull the same stunt. They insist that there are potential buyers eager to see our motor right away. They mentioned a one-time fee of £89.99 but made it clear that it doesn’t actually guarantee a sale. They come across as quite insistent! It all feels a bit fishy, doesn't it? Certainly too good to be true, and it appears that's the case!

I've hit the same snag as before. Just received a call from yet another number, 08716632979, peddling the same nonsense. They valued our car at £6000 but ludicrously offered us £6500. What a load of rubbish! I strongly advise against striking any deals with them. Stay clear!

Earlier today, we received a call from 01992655480. A chap on the other end promised a guaranteed sale for our car listed on Autotrader. We mentioned that we’d actually sold it three days ago, and he didn't take it well at all-ended up hanging up on us. Honestly, these blokes are like vultures, capitalising on those in a pinch to sell. I’d advise anyone to hang up straight away once you realise who you're dealing with!

Could someone kindly share a link? We're having difficulty locating this on the BBC website. We did manage to find 'Inside Out,' but there seems to be no information regarding this particular company. Any assistance would be appreciated! 😕

I'm experiencing the same problems; I've informed AutoTrader, and these guys will sift through all the numbers that have been flagged to them. We've sent a fair few already. But if you really want to get under the skin of these sales reps, just listen to their spiel, then tell them to instruct their 'clients' to reach out to you via AutoTrader (or whichever platform you’ve used to advertise). I’ve been called 'rude', 'sarcastic', and 'ignorant', yet here I am, smiling after hanging up!

I recently received a call regarding a vehicle listing from a free online site. I genuinely can't fathom why some folks resort to scamming others like this. I told them that once the buyer arrives this evening and completes the purchase, I would happily double their investment and send a cheque via first-class post the following afternoon. They abruptly hung up on me! It’s clearly a dodgy scheme, so beware of falling for such tricks!

Absolutely agree! Those other dodgy numbers like 01162616716 and 02082385016 are a right nuisance, aren't they?

We've received a call from this number regarding our vehicle that we're trying to sell. They assert that they can connect us with potential buyers, but there’s a catch - they want nearly £90 for the service. Since we’re focusing on local sales, we’re a bit sceptical about whether this company is genuine or if it’s just a scam. Has anyone had any experience with them that could shed some light on the situation?

I've found myself in a similar predicament! Simply let them know that you're not keen on parting with your cash, but you’re open to alternative suggestions. Trust me, they'll soon lose interest in you. It seems their only agenda revolves around chasing after your wallet!

I've had countless missed calls from this company that I simply ignored. After doing a bit of sleuthing online with the number, I stumbled upon this site. The moment they rang again, I answered and confronted them, stating that they were nothing but canvassers trying to press us into coughing up cash for our vehicle! The chap on the line was rather rude, and when we insisted they stop their relentless calling, he cheekily replied that they'd continue to ring us. I mentioned that their harassment infringes the Telecommunications Act, to which he had the audacity to claim I was just someone who wastes police resources!

We're experiencing the same situation over here. Saw an ad in Friday-Ad that clearly stated NO Canvassers, yet we're still getting calls from advertisers, one of whom has our own ad plastered on their site! We've also been inundated with emails requesting payment details, with promises of covering shipping costs. Our two penn'orth? Just steer clear of them all!

I regret any disruption this may cause, but we recently made use of this service and found it quite commendable. It's unfortunate that your experience wasn't as satisfactory. I really sympathise with you. :(

We've recently acquired the same ring. She claims to have potential buyers for our 06 BMW 318 ES. Very insistent, and as soon as she realised she wouldn't secure the full £90, she pretended to consult her manager and miraculously slashed the price in half. When we firmly declined, they simply hung up on us. This was clearly a scam-steer clear!
