I got a call claiming they were from BT or Windows, trying to trick me into giving my personal info. Honestly, I just told them I don't even use BT and haven’t got a computer. Seems like the number they ring from isn’t genuine - more like a fake or ghost number they use to stay hidden. Definitely a scam.

In just 48 hours, I got 6 calls claiming to be from BT about issues with my router. Total pain and obviously a scam. They tried to get me to open my laptop and log in. Don’t ever fall for that! The calls seem to come through somewhere around Lee Valley and Enfield. I’m baffled why BT hasn’t managed to block these scammers yet. I even spoke to someone in BT’s nuisance calls team and they know all about these fraudsters. They’re really after your personal stuff like banking details or whatever’s on your computer. Stay alert, folks!

I just got a phone call from a man who claimed he was calling on behalf of BT. He said there was a big issue with my computer. I told him to jog on because it was obvious he was a scammer. He got a bit annoyed, so I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, a young bloke who couldn’t even remember his own name, saying there was an issue with my router. When I acted a bit slow, he started swearing and telling me to shut up and listen! It’s mad that BT lets this happen. Why should we keep paying for our phone line and get treated like this? I know these calls usually come from overseas, but can’t they just block the numbers or ranges? The tech is there surely. Maybe we should all just stop paying until BT sorts it out. No one should have to pay for that kind of abuse!

They call me like 4 or 5 times daily, always saying they're from BT. They told me my router had downloaded harmful spam onto my computer. When I asked the guy (had an Indian-ish accent) for my account number, he just hung up straight away. Can't BT track these scammers through their fraud team or something?

This number kept ringing me non-stop over two days, like five times! I had to put them on block now.

Someone rang up pretending to be from BT, saying they needed to get into my computer to sort out my internet. Lucky for me, I’d just been speaking to a senior BT rep. So I humoured him for a bit, but never gave any codes or let him on to any website. When I asked him for a name and number I could ring back on, he totally lost it, shouting curses and making horrible threats about my family. Absolute nutter.

Over the last couple of days, I’ve gotten six calls from the same lot (they really don’t take a hint, bless their hearts!). This time, an Asian bloke said he was from BT tech support, telling me I’d got a virus that spread from my PC to my BT hub. Whenever I started asking him questions, he'd just cut the call straight away.

Today I got a call from someone claiming to be BT checking on an issue with my IP address. Since I've been having trouble with my BT YouView channels lately, I thought maybe it was legit and was a bit relieved someone was looking into it. But out of nowhere, the caller just dropped the call and disappeared. Guess I dodged a bullet there.

Got a call today from someone saying they were with BT. I’ve had issues with BT before and their legit calls usually come from an 0800 number. The lady on the line had an Asian accent. Total pain in the neck.

Got a call from this number, background noise made it clear it was a call centre. There was a weird pause before any words came out, then they just ended the call without saying anything. I've blocked the number since then.

Got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent saying my BT broadband was having issues. They asked me to run some programme on my pc to ‘fix’ it. I was already on my laptop, using Google Drive through a VPN, and my router isn’t even from BT. They’re after your info or cash, don’t hand over a thing. If you can keep them waiting on the line to waste their time, do it - these lot are proper con artists, just out to scam you. Don’t give them anything. Come on, BT, sort this out and help stop these scammers.

These idiots have rung me half a dozen times within a day saying there’s an issue with my router. When I asked for my account info during the last call, they just cut me off straight away! What a load of rubbish.

I got a call from a firm claiming they’re connected with BT, but it felt a bit dodgy. They were pushing some sort of service to improve my calls, supposedly blocking those annoying nuisance calls from abroad. They wanted £19.92 as a one-time payment, saying it was forever. When I told them that BT offers this for free already, they just ended the call on me. I don’t get why BT doesn’t clamp down on stuff like this - seems like total fraud to me!

I received a telephone call from an individual who appeared to have an Indian accent, making a pitch regarding my internet service. If I recall correctly, he mentioned something about being affiliated with BT. I suspect that he was gearing up to ask for my personal information next.
