So, today I got a ring from this number and the bloke on the other end had a really thick foreign accent, like he was miles away or something. He never asked for me by name or tried to check any details with BT, which is who I use for internet anyway. Instead, he started saying my router was causing issues and letting viruses into my computer. Yeah, right! I told him I’m in IT and everything with my PC is fine. I threw a few tech terms at him just to put him off, said thanks for the call, and then ended the chat. Feels like a total scam, especially since BT would never reach out like that.
